Please feel free to call me by my nickname ~ Tia, if you'd prefer.
Integrating modalities such as relaxing Swedish strokes, therapeutic Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial Release, I customize a massage designed to find relief and balance for every individual.
Prenatal and post-partum care is a huge passion for me. As a mother of three, I know first hand how beneficial massage and bodywork can be. I have comprehensive training specific to the child-bearing years. I draw upon techniques, knowledge, and intuition to provide relief for many common symptoms of pregnancy, helping to ease the transitions of motherhood and prepare for labor, delivery, and the care of a newborn.
Thai massage, also referred to as "Asian Deep Tissue" or "Passive Yoga", is performed on a mat with the client remaining clothed. This modality combines massage, stretching, and Sen energy work to provide deeply effective treatments. Thai massage can leave you feeling grounded and relaxed while simultaneously invigorated and energized.
I received training at East West College of the Healing Arts, here in beautiful Portland, Oregon and graduated in March 2009 with over 900 hours of study. I have also furthered my studies with Allison Lurie at Baan Jai Center for Thai Massage and Education and received Pre- and Perinatal Certification with Michele Kolakowski through BodyTherapy Associates.
I am currently contracted with several insurance companies. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your specific coverage and/or contact your company for up to date information about your policy .
I have always felt drawn to the healing power of touch. Helping people to reconnect with their bodies to find peace, health, and well-being is thoroughly fulfilling work. I feel sincerely honored to accompany you along this journey toward your health goals.
